For the 2026 edition of the GraphiMs festival, La Fenêtre art center presents Beaux Restes (Beautiful Leftovers), a group show assembled from previous exhibitions fragments—reactivated, reconfigured, and placed in dialogue. Five distinct groups of works are brought together for the first time:
- a selection of printed matters by Félicité Landrivon's (Brigade Cynophile) from the Sonovision exhibition
- a redesigned part of Marion Cachon's La Gauchère (The left-handed women)
- the sixteen screen-printed posters from Messages/Images, a Cnap commission for graphic design
- a selection of original screen prints and posters by Roman Cieslewicz from the show Dix sections (Ten Sections)
- and finally, Postfirebooks’ modular installation Reading Room, presented again after its launch at Glassbox art space in Montpellier.
By assembling all these pieces from past events, Beaux Restes explores the life of exhibitions beyond the initial moment of their opening: their capacity to travel, to transform, to resonate in other contexts. Beaux Restes is not a retrospective or a compilation, but a fully-fledged curatorial act—coming from the desire to revisit certain types of forms, and the conviction that their displacement gives them a new depth. Postfirebooks is a publishing house whose approach is inextricably linked to the question of the book's presence in the exhibition space. Its modular display units, designed to show its entire catalog, are not simply display furniture: they constitute a complete exhibition design, conceived to foster a close relationship between the publications and their audience, to invite handling, reading, and browsing—breaking with the usual conventions in which the books are placed at a distance from the viewer. First exhibited at Glassbox-Sud (Montpellier) in January 2026, on the occasion of the launch of Tendre Alumine—a publication documenting an other event where the displays were exhibited, at Espace de l’Art Concret (Mouans-Sartoux)—the installation finds a new context, a new space, at La Fenêtre art center. Beaux Restes presents the displays following its logic of reactivation: what has been shown elsewhere returns here, like displaced leftovers.
